I'm a country girl who recently packed up all her stuff and moved to the city to make it big. As per most people, I got myself a 9-5 (*paycheck*), a new wardrobe and most importantly an Oyster card, hence the title Oyster Girl. This is my re-birth, my chance to make myself a life full of passion, to be successful and to make memories.
One thing I've noticed for sure during my time in London is that the world is full of people who are unknowingly living to work rather than working to live. Yes, we all need to make a living, but I cannot stress enough that we only get one life, and therefore need to make the most of it whilst we are able to.
While trying to make it big as a writer, I plan to grab all opportunities that come my way, and have already decided that I'm going to make my own luck in life. (You're not going to win a million, if you don't invest in lottery tickets - just saying).
I'm going to put it out there... this is going to be an anonymous blog to an extent. I'm not going to show you who I am because I want everyone to be able to relate to my experiences. That, and the fact that I'm a little tipsy on wine right now, so I thought that this would be a good idea. The truth is, only time will tell...
For now I'm off, and about to eat my weight in crackers.
Thanks for stopping by,
Oyster Girl
